  • Kerry Mullins

  • Lynda Hernandez

As a committed Green, will continue working to educate the general public about the issues I feel most passionate - protecting last open space of Orange County, protecting the food chain (GMO issue and importance of organic food), spotlighting folly of antimissile defense system (and redirecting budget allocation to social equity programs), instituting a living wage in California and protecting old growth trees.

My mode of operation is to work as a team member to support other Greens and progressives and to move from the local to the global. Gained invaluable experience while organizing tabling during Nader campaign - creating a dialog in the streets to begin to change the existing mindset. Come from entrepreneurial background as small business owner and single mother (achieving more with less). Look forward to working with each one of you.

Democracy is based on choice, and there just aren't enough choices. Growing the Green Party is key to building political diversity, changing our political system and promoting Green values. As a member of the Orange County Green Party County Council, I will be dedicated to promoting party growth, as well as issues affecting our daily lives - safe food, tenants rights, non-violence, nuclear disarmament, and a safe, clean, sustainable environment. I have supported and demonstrated passionately for these issues. I am an Engineer, 30 year Orange County resident and parent, and have the experience, energy and passion to build the party to provide the diversity our democracy needs.
  • Tung-Yun "Annie" McNally

As a Chinese born in Taiwan who looks more like a Filipina/Thai and has even been addressed as "senorita" now and then and who is married to an Irishman, I hope the Green Party will elect me to our Council to win over the hearts of Orange County's population! As a member of the GPOC, I will accelerate creation of a quarterly newsletter for the Orange County Green Party, will work for a united front of progressive communities and to prioritize our common goals.

I became a U.S. Citizen May 26, 2000 and registered as a Green Party Member in June, 2000. I was active in Nader 2000 Campaign events, hosted an Orange County Growing Greens meeting and drafted a GPOC newsletter.

I'm an engineer by profession, earned my M.Sc. at Imperial College, London and my BA at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. I speak fluent English and Chinese.

  • Sandy Hill

    A
member of the Orange County Green Party since 1998 and resident of Orange County since 1971, I have participated actively in support of issues relevant to local, state and federal as well as global concerns. My education and background in the arts have helped shape my social-environmental-political views and have served to deepen my determination to become involved in the efforts of the Green Party to create a more just and democratic society.

If I am elected to serve as a member of the Orange County Green Party County Council, I will continue to work towards furthering the outreach of community-based, grassroots campaigns that inform and educate citizens
and that encourage active political participation. While the overarching goal of my term, if elected, will be to broaden the base of registered Green Party members, I will continue to work actively on behalf of issues reflecting
Green Party Values. I look forward to serving alongside my fellow Green Party members.

  • John Earl

A researcher and organizer for the Hotel Employees & Restaurant Employees Union, Local 681, I play a key role in the H.E.R.E. For Justice campaign, fighting to protect the right of Orange County's hotel workers to belong to a union. As a member of the Green Party County Council, I will draw from my experience to organize Greens around labor issues. By actively joining Orange County's labor movement, Greens will help workers and receive their support in return.
  • Matt Leslie

As your current alternate regional representative to the Green Party of California for Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties I can offer the leadership experience and perspective invaluable to the responsibilities of a county council member. I am a lifelong Southern Californian deeply interested in securing a healthy environment, campaign finance reform, preservation of open space and wildlife habitats, social justice, and a sane, sustainable energy policy for my home state. For years I have worked directly with local communities in my profession as curator of a prominent Orange County cultural center. I will apply this experience to building a strong grass roots foundation to foster the growth of the Green Party in Orange County and to help to fulfill its promise to become a vital force in local, state, and national politics.
  • Duane Roberts

I help foster the growth of the Green Party in Orange County and to help to fulfill its promise to become a vital force in local, state, and national politics.

    I have three priorities:

    • Organize the Green Party around those issues which have mass appeal to working people such as affordable housing, universal healthcare, etc.|

    • Forge strong relationships with progressive forces within labor unions, civic groups, environmental organizations, and the latino community.

    • Develop a strategy to identify and recruit Green Party members as candidates for city council and school board races that are winnable.
