JIM HIGHTOWER TO BE GREEN PARTY NOMINATING CONVENTION KEYNOTE SPEAKER

The Association of State Green Party's National Nominating Convention, scheduled for June 24-25 in Denver, announced that radio show host Jim Hightower has been confirmed as the keynote speaker. He will address the convention delegates and guests on Saturday night, June 24, at the Renaissance Hotel, on Quebec St., where the convention will be held.

Also addressing the delegate assembly, in the afternoon, will be Manning Marable, Director of the Institute for Research in African-American Studies, at Columbia University in New York. Professor Marable was previously on the faculty at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and writes a column called Across the Color Line.

The Green Party will be nominating its candidates for President and Vice President at the convention and will also be adopting a platform.
