The following flier was drafted solely by me--no community involvement or 
editorial control--so if in my lame attempts at humor I piss anyone off, 
please be pissed only at me.  Thanks. V.


Please Come to a Housewarming Shindig!!!

WHO: You.  Obviously.

WHEN: November 11, 2000, starting at 6 pm, going till whenever.

WHEN 2: We're kind of kidding about the 6 pm part.  We're saying 6 because 
we know you people won't show up until at least two hours later.  Come 
whenever.  Stay till whenever.  It's not like we don't have room.

BRING: Food to share (it's a potluck).  We'll provide as much food and drink 
as we can, but we're inviting lots of folks, so please also consider 
bringing grog if you can.  Please be thoughtful of our friends who refrain 
from eating our animal relations, and please partake of intoxicants with 
respect for the children in our midst and those unborn.

BRING 2: Friends, children, roommates, ex-lovers, would-be lovers, 
would-be-ex-lovers, anarcho-primitivists, anarcho-syndicalists, 
anarcho-control-freaks, neo-Marxists, recovering Marxists, recovering 
Catholics, neo-pagans, crypto-gurus, pseudo-phenomena, your mom, the Judean 
Peoples Front, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Judea, fliers, poetry 
to share aloud, music to play, warm socks or comfy slippers (to feel at home 
in), musical instruments (acoustic), donations of Ursula LeGuin books (and 
other political women writers to ovar-ride a very male dominated book 
collection), anti-histamine if you're allergic to cats (we only have one, 
and he'll be in hiding most likely, and we'll clean as well as we possibly 
can, but just in case).

PLEASE DON'T BRING: The Romans, any more Chomsky books (PLEASE!!), the 
Melissa Virus, futons, cardboard boxes, styrofoam peanuts, nuclear, 
chemical, biological or baked missiles ;-).
