Nader has 7 to 8%.  Most of the votes are from Independents: between 60

Republicans from Bar Harbor on down the coast who are deserting Bush. 
Consequently, Chris concludes, Nader will get over 5% and Gore will win
the state.  Pretty interesting!! Potholm also said that his son Eric who
has a similar polling business in Washington state, says that this is
similar to what he finds there.

If it works out that way, it means among other things that the
> Democrats are having a snit over nothing. Furthermore, that the Greens
have broad appeal, and I mean broad appeal!!  And, one more thing, and
this is a surmise that's been growing on me lately, that the real target
of the Democratic rage of the past two weeks is not so much aimed at
Nader as at the Green Party. They want to squash the Green Party; it
explains the desperate anger/anxiety of so-called "progressive"
Democrats: they feel the tug of their once-upon-a time dedication to
real principles and real values, and are acting up defensively to
protect themselves from that inner accusing voice.
