[Announce-DAN] Musicians needed for CD about war against Iraq...

Do You want to be part of a musical compilation of protest against the U.S.
war against the people of Iraq?

Dear Iraq Activists-Musicians,

My name is Ben Grosscup and I went to Iraq with Voices in the Wilderness
from
Dec 16-30, 1999. I am also a musician and I have written 2 songs about the
sanctions. I am compiling a CD  of "Songs of Resistance Against the U.S. War
on the People of Iraq." I think I might even title the album as such. Here's
the songs I've found so far. I have not yet confirmed with every artist
whether I can use their work, but I will.

7. Ben Grosscup - "Why Did You Do This to Us?"
8. David Rovics - "Contras, Kings, and Generals"
9. Pelvic Delta - "Breaking Basra"
10. Mike Miles - "Playing God in Baghdad"

If you have written a song about Iraq or know someone who has, even if its
not yet recorded, please contact me. I once saw a local campaign (it was to
stop a road that was to go through, and eventually did go through, sacred
land in Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis) that produced such a CD and it really
created a culture of resistance around that issue. If there is sufficient
interest, I would like to produce this CD large scale. I think that if this
project is to get off the ground it will be best to put the money back into
the campaign (organizations that I have considered are: Voices in the
Wilderness, Education for Peace in Iraq Center, Life for Relief and
Development).
