- Subject: [Announce-DAN] Urgent Call for Activists: Plug-Into the Colorado Calendar of April Activities
To All Human Beings,
Below you will find a proposal for "16 Days of Peace, Love &
Protest." This mega-event will cover over two weeks from A16 to M1.
In order to achieve this huge task, I need as much input from our
community and other potential groups, as possible. Personally, I
would love to see every group plug into the calendar. There is no
central organizing body. We'll form an ad hoc group as needed. This
just came out of the fact that we have a lot of activities,
anniversaries, holidays, historical events, etc. that fall into this
period of time and I believe it would be a sorely missed opportunity
for us not to promote the causality and relationships between them.
Every person plays a pivotal role. Everyone has something to
contribute. Please get involved.
Please send me your feedback or feel free to copy it to discuss-
dan@yahoogroups.com for further conversation.
All interested people will be asked to consent on a series of
planning meeting date(s).
All ideas will be added to the Proposal below, updating it as we go
and posted to the discuss-dan list often. (If you're not on that
list and want to be let me know.)
As you may recall, last year we had 4 days of activities with the
small, newly formed Denver-DAN. There is no reason why this year it
can't expand exponentially.
To DAN activists: This proposal is currently on the agenda for the
next spokes on Feb 12th, but it's important that I get a lot of
feedback on this prior, in order to get the jump on promotion, PR,
fundraising, etc.
Thank you for all your help & support in being a part of this really
incredible activist community!,
