[Announce-DAN] ListServ Policy: For your review

Denver-DAN Listserv Policies & Posting Procedures

1.	Subscriptions:  To be placed on any listserv, you can sign-in at a
Denver-DAN meeting or be recommended by a DAN participant.  Unsolicited
requests can send a blank e-mail to the list manager at
admin-dan-owner@yahoogroups.com <mailto:admin-dan-owner@yahoogroups.com> .
The list manager will request a contact name & number; a reply is necessary
for subscription approval.

2.	Security Notice:  Assume that the media and/or law enforcement
agents are reading anything you post on any listserv.  Be aware of your
audience & clear on your intent.  A security notice will auto-append at the
bottom of each post.

3.	Copyrights:  All posts represent the opinion, and are the copyright,
of the originator and not that of DAN or the list administrators. No
material should be reprinted from this list without the prior permission of
the copyright holder. If you post copyrighted material from other sources on
this list you must first obtain permission from the copyright holder and
include their copyright notice in the post. A copyright notice will
auto-append at the bottom of each post.

4.	Updates:  Frequently the lists are updated and purged of outdated
e-mail addresses.

5.	Moderator Help:  Any listserv questions/suggestions should be
directed to the Education/Outreach working group participants or e-mailed to
the list manager at admin-dan-owner@yahoogroups.com

6.	Individual list policies:
a.	Announce-DAN: Date/Time-related announcements of all upcoming
local-international & noncommercial events, actions, meetings, speaking
engagements, activities and community gatherings (potlucks/parties/etc.) for
the activists & groups plugging into this network as an organizing resource.
Only those subscribed to the list can read and post messages.  Replies go to
the author of the post.

b.	Discuss-DAN:  Issues, opinions, dialogue, articles, letters, poems,
jokes (i.e. things open to discussion), which are related to the movement as
a whole.  Replies go back to the list and all subscribers.

c.	Admin-DAN (formerly coconfederation):  For Denver-DAN related
materials such as agendas, minutes & proposals.  At least one person from
each participant group should be subscribed to admin-dan for circulation of
materials well in advance of spokescouncil meetings.  Postings are delayed
for moderator review (no more than 24 hours) to ensure they are on-topic.
Replies will go to the author.

7.	Cross Posting:  Do not post the same message on more than one of the
above mentioned groups. Each group was set-up for a specific purpose.  Cross
posting will result in the outlined actions below.

8.	Failure to Comply:  Disregarding this policy once will result in
receiving a warning & a copy of this posting policy.  A second time will
result in suspension from the group lists and the affected individual will
be able to discuss the situation in the next education/outreach meeting with
the education/outreach participants.

9.	Please respect the posting policy AND the words of our friends in
struggle.  These groups are designed for community building, organizing and
the free exchange of ideas & information. If posts become inflammatory &
oppressive or a complaint is sent to a moderator or the Education/Outreach
working group then the actions as listed in #8 will be used.

10.	This posting policy will auto-post once per month on ALL LISTS.
