[Announce-DAN] Country of Origin labeling bill tomorrow

Hi,

We just got a request from the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union for support on their country of origin labeling bill. This would require foods to contain a label about that food's country of origin. First call Senator Tom Plant at 303-866-2938 and ask him to support this bill.  It's okay to leave a message on his phone machine.

Second, can anyone go down to Denver tomorrow (Wednesday) to help fill up the ranks of people attending the meeting. Starts at 1:30 in the Agriculture committee. Call me if you can go.

Just thought you'd like to know, the committee hearing on HB 1098,
Country-of-origin labeling bill will be tomorrow upon adjournment in the
HEWI committee.  Any producers, or consumers willing to support this simpleconsumer "right-to-know" bill are welcome to testify.  I'll be in Denver(heading over this afternoon) to coordinate testimony.  Check for me aroundthe House/Senate, or in Room 0112 early in the joint Ag meeting about Colorado's forests.

Hope we can get some help, sorry for the short notice.
