[Announce-DAN] GE Hearing (Room change) Fair Trade Mtg.

Hi, 

This email contains two announcements:

1) GE hearing Monday, Feb. 12 Room Change-Please come and be there even if you're not planning on testifying! We need to show that this is an important issue to Colorado voters.

2) The Fair Trade Coalition will meet Monday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at 1520 Euclid Avenue in Boulder. The Coalition is focused on defeating Fast Track and the expansion of Free Trade to all of the Americas (FTAA).


The hearing on the GE labeling bill in the Colorado State Legislature is on Monday, Feb 12 at 1:30  p.m. at the State Capitol in Denver, Old Supreme Court Building Room, 2nd Floor. Pro-GE people will testify first People in favor of labeling GE foods will probably start testifying about 3 p.m. Carpooling from Boulder at noon at the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center, 1520 Euclid, Boulder. 

Although probably only about 30 people will be able to speak, we'd like to get a packed room to show consumer and farmer support for the bill. A good attendance will be key to getting this bill out of committee.  Also. please call Joan Fitzgerald, the Chair of the Committee and tell her you support the bill at 303-866-4873.
