THESE ARE THE MEETING AND EVENT ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE
SPOKES MEETING LAST NIGHT. (In case folks are not on

FEB. 16, Friday, 7pm  For the next 8 Friday nights,
AIM will be having a fundraiser for Columbus Day. It
is a video series (Matewan, Smoke Signals…to name a
few). $4. It is at Four Winds, 5th & Bannock.

FEB. 17-18, National organizing conference on Iraq

FEB. 17, Saturday, 4pm, (EVERY Sat. at 4pm)Sunken
Gardens, 8th & Speer, FOOD NOT BOMBS.

FEB. 21/22-7pm, Mayan Theatre-Spike Lee's banned film
(no more! It will open here in Denver) "Bamboozled".
It is a fundraiser for Denver Pan-African Film and
Arts Festival (303-293-2665 or 303-744-6796)

FEB. 21, Wednesday, 7pm, Palestine working group
(CCMEP), 2135 South Columbine.

MARCH 8- International Women's Day is March 8. Meet at
11:30 at the west steps of the Capitol bldg. march at
noon. 2pm-skyline park for open mic and speakers.
3pm-march along 16th street mall.  9pm-a take back the
night march (women only please) for rape awareness. 

MARCH 15, Thursday, 7pm, City and County
Bldg-International Day of Action against Police
Brutality (including a protest from the 

OCTOBER 6,7,8,12,13,14-Planning early, and EPOC has
the permit to meet at the west steps of the Capitol
for Columbus Day.

NOVEMBER 8-11-Denver Activists Film Festival.

People's Summit on Globalization in Boulder is the
weekend of March 10. Details to come on this probably
on announce-dan@egroups.com (or call 303-492-5024).

PUPPET making working group/workshop. MEETING to
discuss materials, check out site, etc. Feb. 22,
Thursday, 7pm, Los Revoluciones, 819 West 8th Ave
(between Fox and Galapago).  WORKSHOP to make puppets,
March 4, Sunday, 10am-3pm, Los Revoluciones. (call

FILM FESTIVAL (part of education/outreach working
group)-planned for November 8-11, 2001. MEETING:
