The protest of the 2nd Presidential debate was successful on Wednesday, October 11th.  At its height, we had about 60 protesters lining the Lincoln street outside the CBS station and later outside ABC and Fox.  Channel 2, WB, gave us excellent coverage, and we had a few seconds at the top of the CBS late night news as well.  The "democracy" coffin held by Gore and Bush, was featured in both news spots as well as our many bullhorn rebel rousers.  Thanks so much for coming.  All the signs and costumes were great.  

Let's try to hold on to Wednesday's energy as we hold another protest for the third debate in Denver.  We want to get twice the turnout and twice the coverage for: 

"Beat Down the CPD/ Make Noise for Ralph" 

Bring your favorite percussion instrament, whether its a drum, bucket, or water jug.  Guitars and other instraments are welcome.  Come raise racket for Nader as we march from the Rocky Mountain news at 400 W.  Colfax, down Glenarm, up 16th Street mall to the Denver Post at Colfax and Broadway.  From there, we will go down Lincoln to KCNC/CBS at 1044 Lincoln St.  Next we will move to the corner of 6th and Speer, the final location.  Bring good walking shoes and earplugs if you're sensitive to "loud bucket drumming".  

So here's the agenda (feel free to show up at the appropriate location after 6:30, but the earlier you come, the better our press coverage will be): 

1.  6:30 Meet outside the Rocky Mountain News at 400 W.  Colfax.  We will stay outside on Colfax for 20 minutes.  Then we will march down Glenarm to 16th Street mall headed East.  

2.  7:00 We will arrive outside the Denver Post at Colfax and Broadway.  After ten minutes we will proceed down Lincoln headed South.  

3.  7:20 We will be outside KCNC/CBS at 1044 Lincoln for ten minutes, before we procede south down Lincoln.  

4.  7:30 Finally, we'll arrive at Lincoln and 6th outside KMGH/ABC.  This is a good location, as those of you at the last protest know, so we'll probably rally here for a while.
