[CUGreens] Coalition Activities

I can't attend the meeting on Monday. We should have at least one person
there. Also, try to avoid making non-political commitments on Monday the 6th
and Tuesday the 7th -- we need all the manpower we can get for the get out
the vote push. (The coalition will coordinate efforts, but we don't have to
be nonpartisan. We can encourage people to vote for whomever and whatever
we wish.) Make sure to tell your friends (and enemies) about the debates next
week. We should probably chalk the dates next Monday.

(Forward the below message to any lists you're on. The various student
groups haven't done much election-wise.)

Hey everyone!!! Its time to get the ball rolling for Voter Education and
the Get Out the Vote campaigns. We are going to need everyone's help!
Starting next week there will be two debates on campus and an organizing
meeting for those who want to help. This is a great way to get involved and
show support for your causes.

Monday night will be the planning and volunteer meeting in HELLEMS 193 at
6pm. Please come and let us know how you want to help out. There will be
tabling, phone banking, and full blown out-reach to all students.

Then on Tuesday and Wednesday nights there will be candidate debates.
Tuesday night is the Mock Presidential Debate hosted by the political
student groups on campus. It will be in Earth Sciences 169 at 6pm.

Wednesday night is the 2nd Congressional Debate for the House of
Representatives seat. All candidates will be attending and there will be a
question and answer period at the end. It will be in Hale 270 at 5pm with a
reception to follow.

The election is almost here and its time to crack down!
Call me if you have any questions and please forward this to any email lists
you are on.
