Re: [discuss-dan] Steal Something Day

Che wrote in an essay that while those who were
willing and able to move forward boldly should do so we
should not so allienate those who are just taking baby
steps that they turn away and never move forward. We
are not all ready to make big moves. While I -for the
most part- find permited rallies and buy nothing days
et. a waste of time and effort I would rather that
folks did these than nothing.

Of Course Adbuster is a reformist publication. The
whole idea of "Buy Nothing Day" is elitist, oh yeah, I
can afford the luxury of making no purchases one day a
year because I won't have to take a bus to work or put
gas in my car to get to work. It's just like Critical
Mass which is elitist in the sense that if you live on
6th and Tennyson you don't work near there and public
transprtation is a joke, the light rail will probably
never go to that neighborhood, so riding your bike is
not an option, I like steal something it really takes
from capitalism, hell, steal Adbusters!
