Two-thirds of the species on Earth are projected to become extinct in 
the next century (International Botanical Congress,

a mass extinction this large since the dinosaurs disappeared.  The top 
cause of species extinction is loss of habitat as a result of practices 
like clearcut logging of intact, old growth forests. 

Companies like Home Depot, Lowe's, and Kinko's have already committed to 
phase out wood from endangered forests. Boise Cascade faces a simple 
choice: end logging in old growth forests and invest in sustainable 
alternatives, or continue destroying old growth forests and become a 
dinosaur company unable to adapt to the 21st century.
