[discuss-dan] The Oppressed to be present at MKL parade route with questions for Mayor Webb

In an effort to make Denver Mayor Wellington Webb accountable for the prosecution of the oppressed in Denver.  The oppressed will ask such questions of the Denver Mayor Wellington Webb, such as "Our children have studied Martin Luther King, and they say you're not Martin Luther King", "Martin Luther King would protest Mayor Wellington Webb prosecuting the oppressed in
Denver", "Martin Luther King would stand with us against Mayor Wellington Webb", "We support Martin Luther King pride, not Mayor Wellington Webb Pride", "Martin Luther King stood for everyone, not just for Mayor Wellington Webb", "Why is Mayor Wellington Webb using Taxpayer money to prosecute the oppressed?", "It cost less for a New Years party than it does to prosecute the oppressed?"...

In an 11th hour move, the City of Denver is appealing the disqualification of the City's Prosecuting team, Late Thursday nite, Judge Amato "vacated" (cancelled) the hearing scheduled for 9 am, Friday morning.  The next hearing may take 2-3 months, after the appeal (147 individual appeals, since the cases are not consolidated yet) process is exhausted, and many be even the city's treasury...is also exhausted.  Martin Luther King would surely be ashamed that hate speech in the City of Denver is alive and well and is being defended by Mayor Wellington Webb, hate speech that Martin Luther King struggled with, in attempts to not oppress all people of color.

The parade will be celebrated, but Mayor Wellington Webbs participation in it is a question of pride in Webb or in King, oppressed people celebrate King, oppressors of people will be celebrating Webb.

In other actions, the Department of Justice is denying Freedom of Information Act procedures apply to the tapes of the agreement prior to the Denver Columbus Protest.  A discovery motion by the defense teams also seems in jeopardy of not being honored.

No special prosecutor will be appointed for another 2-4 months, taking the whole process to May 2001.

There will be a meeting at 1 pm Sunday at the 4 Winds, in preparation for the Mayor Webb Pride Parade (MLK) on Monday 1/15/2001.
