New Montrose local

great news!

a new local was formed in montrose last night (8.29.00).

a meeting of the Uncompahgre Valley Green Party, encompassing 
Montrose and Ouray counties, drew some 18 local citizens, as well 
as five observer/facilitators from neighboring locals.

ann hill and bill duckworth were unanimously elected co-chairs, 
anna adams treasurer, and rickie wertz secretary.

andrea gray-hooper and nick hagan were unanimously appointed 
as UVGP's GPOCC reps, and hill & duckworth as reps to the 
upcoming state meeting in montrose.

bylaws were adopted by consent, and a letter was authorized to be 
sent to the state party seeking affiliation.

UVGP will be hosting the upcoming state GPOC meeting at the 
Holiday Express hotel in Montrose on the morning of Sept. 9.
