GP of CO Presidential Electors

Folks,

Because of our delays and the added difficulty of the state telling us at 
the last moment that elector acceptance needed to be notarized (*), our 
process for choosing electors was somewhat haphazard. We called for as many 
from around the state as possible. Boulder Greens prepared acceptance forms 
to fill in as needed. We also asked Denver Greens to take them in, which 
they did separately, so I didn't even know for sure how many Denver Green 
electors were taking the acceptance forms in. I guess Green anarchist roots 
are still strong!

I just received a fax from the Secretary of States office that we appear to 
have met all the requirements for ballot access for our candidates, though 
a final determination of the ballot is not made until September 13. We 
probably turned in one or two too many elector acceptance forms, and I have 
one local one I didn't bother to turn in. They read the names of the electors:

Patricia Westmoreland (Lakewood)
Ron Forthofer (Boulder)
Dean Myerson (Boulder)
Judy (Che) Davies (Delta)
Agnes (Nancy) York (Fort Collins)
Nancy Harvey (Boulder)
Karen Kos (Boulder)
Jason Stout (Denver)

(*) - State law specifically exempts the "two major parties" from having to 
notarize their elector acceptance forms. That's why they didn't ask us to 
initially, to treat us similarly (the minor party bill drafter apparently 
didn't think of changing this statute in the bill). But because a certain 
individual is looking for mistakes on our part, the office said that the 
exemption doesn't apply to minor parties, thus removing the possibility 
that our elector acceptances can be challenged on those grounds.
