chris
sorry this has been a problem. perhaps you were on multiple lists.
if you email dave lillie at
<davey@greens.org>
he will help you get off these lists.
i'm also sorry that karen came across as "snotty". she isn't, but
her email did sound a bit harsh.
karen
i must say using the word hysterical (most often used by men to
put down angry women) was a bit inflammatory. emails to people
you can't see and have no body cues for are tricky, particularly if
one is expressing emotional issues.
chris was frustrated with getting too many emails (we've all been
there!) not hysterical. that unfortunate choice of word enflamed the
situation. i guess i'd suggest caution in using emotion-packed
language in addressing problems via email. what seemed like
flaming to chris i'm sure was intended. but we all need to express
ourselves clearly and without judgmental language when
responding to emails on listserves (in private, among friends,
anything goes, but not on public venues).
a good Netiquette lesson for all of us.
