I think the point Sandy Matchen was trying to make was that with those
commercial egroup-type services, you can CHOOSE if you want to get all the
email from a group, OR just visit the website and choose which posts to
read. For people like her with too much email, it helps to use the
"web-only" subscription option for groups of lesser interest or too
prolific.

After they put the ads back at the bottom after the outcry against putting
them at the top of messages, it's easy enough for me to ignore them. The
egroup deals also allow polling, shared files, calendar, etc.

Not a bad thought.
