I disagree with some of what you (Damon Haley) claim Greens should
support and I believe that you have stepped beyond what is appropriate by
claiming that "I think most Greens would agree with how CU students came
out on the issues."
This comes close to violating process: a statement in the name of the
Greens should be made only after the issue has been discussed and
consensus has been reached. Of course, you are free to express your own
view as an individual, but as a Green Party staffer, that is all you are
entitled to do, and you should clearly state that you are speaking only
as an individual.
I personally disagree with your opinions about 21 and 22 and have some
reservations about 23. I do not want to discuss these matters now because
I do not want to distract from the Green electoral campaign. For the same
reason, I believe these matters should not have been brought into the
pre-election discussion in the first place. These topics should be
discussed after the election and the Greens should then work on them and
arrive at positions on them.
