Fort Collins, CO - Saturday, April 24th, 6 pm to midnight, Bob Kinsey invites the public to join him and other Colorado Green Party candidates for a fun fundraising party in the RiverRock Commons Community Room, 520 N. Sherwood Street, Fort Collins. The celebration will include views from local Coloradoans, a chili supper, refreshments, and special musical performances by "Peace Officer" and other local artists. The fundraiser will follow the Colorado Green Party State Meeting and Nominating Convention hosted by the Poudre Valley Green Party.

In his campaign for U.S. Congress, Kinsey will seek to invest in American jobs, sustainable economics, smart security, upholding the constitution, health care for every citizen, and protecting the environment. Kinsey will provide the alternative to incumbent Marilyn Musgrave's divisive and extreme policies.

District 4 incumbent, first-term Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave is best known for proposing a constitutional amendment to prohibit same-sex marriage. "This would be the first time our Constitution has ever been amended to incorporate discrimination into the Constitution," notes Kinsey. "In contrast, the Green Party stands for diversity and social justice for all members of our community."

Kinsey has been a Colorado resident for thirty six years who raised seven children together with his wife Rita. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with three years of active duty, a twenty-five year retired history and social studies teacher, a retired United Church of Christ clergyman, and a representative to the national Alliance for Nuclear Accountability.

Congressional District 4 stretches east from Larimer County and Longmont to the Nebraska border and south from Washington and Yuma county to the New Mexico state border. The district consists of a diverse mix of rural agricultural communities and large metropolitan areas. Kinsey believes his support for safe, sustainable agriculture and ranching practices as well as his backing of public education, safe streets, and public transportation are issues important to the district's citizens.
