Summit Greens participated in  local protests around the county in 2003 against the war in Iraq. We also participated in the 2003 Martin Luther King day protest in Denver, which attracted 30,000 people. We previously held weekly candlelight vigils in 2001 to honor and remember those being killed and injured during the war in Afghanistan. And we organized a 2001 trek up the slopes of the  Breckenridge Ski Area on Christmas day carrying signs for peace up to the Vista Haus and back.
