1. Date proposed 5/10/07. Sponsor: Bruce Meyer and the Denver GP

2. TITLE:
Appointment of Tom Kelly to GPUS National Committee

3. FULL PROPOSAL:
An affirmative vote would confirm Tom Kelly as a national delegate and instruct the National Committees to place Tom on the proper list serve and set him up in the voting page. This change of position would be effective immediately on passing.

4. BACKGROUND:
Colorado is currently apportioned two delegates to the GPUS National Committee and these two seats are currently held by Dave Chandler and Bruce Meyer. Bruce Meyer is resigning his seat and Tom Kelly, Co-chair GPCO, has agreed to fill the open seat.

5. Justification/Goals:
Bruce Meyer is leaving the position and Tom Kelly has agreed to fill the position.

6. Pros:
The seat is occupied by a Party officer.

Cons:
The seat is left open until another participant is confirmed.

7. Alternatives to the proposal:
Taking no action leaves the seat open.

8. Supporting statements:
Tom has indicated by email and in person his willingness to fill this National Committee position.
