The Green Code Weavers Network
The Green Code Weavers Network exists to facilitate the collaboration
of Green Party activists actively engaged in developing and supporting
the Information Technology resources and infrastructure of their
national, state or provincial and local Green Parties and the
candidates our Parties nominate and endorse.
The Green Code Weavers Network is a place where Green Party
IT administrators and programmers can:
- collaborate on the development of custom code useful to building the Green Party,
- share their experiences with existing IT tools which support their Party's development and their ability to support their candidates and campaigns, and
- seek and provide mutual aid and technical support to Green Party activists actively engaged in IT work for their Parties.
Members are expected to be actively engaged in providing IT
development and administration services to their national, state
and/or local party, and to license the work they share under
an open source licence of their choice. The Green Code Weavers
Network welcomes the participation of Party activists working
on a variety of platforms, in a variety of programming languages
and at a range of skill levels from beginner to advanced.
The Green Party Code Weavers Network exists to facilitate the
collaboration of Green Party activists actively engaged in
developing and supporting the Information Technology resources
and infrastructure of their national, state and local Green
Parties and our respective candidate and issue campaigns.
We're here to provide mutual support and technical assistance,
to share code and useful software tools and to learn from
one another in ways which will support the development of the
Green Party in our respective communities and states.
With the generous support of the Green Internet Society, we
provide three key resources for our collaboration with one
another: (1) this website, (2) our e-mail
listserv, and (3) a CVS repository where Network participants
are encouraged to share custom code that might benefit the
Party building work we each do in our respective states and
communities.
This is a private, archived list. Cross-posting is strongly
discouraged by list rules which bounce messages posted to the
list with multiple recipients. Subscribers are asked to limit
posts to subjects and issues of interest to Greens providing
IT development and administration services to their parties.
