NEEDED: Network of Green locals

A number of Greens have been talking about networking and supporting each other around non-electoral issues campaigns. Some of these might include work around pesticides, 9-11, globalization, anti-war, free Mumia, environmental action and social and economic justice, the drug wars, genetic engineering, the criminal injustice system, etc., as foreshadowed in the Ten Key Values -- in other words, whatever your local is working on.

This would be a non-hierarchical mutual aid network of Green locals -- not a caucus, not a new organization, just creating ways through which we can assist each others' efforts, develop a collective of alternative health care providers, lawyers, bail-funds, and the like.

As we've envisioned it thus far, it would not entail taking any political positions on a national level or committing any funds, just a willingness to coordinate with other Greens what we all are actually doing (outside of election-related work).

If you and/or your local are interested, please drop a line (until we get more organized) to the Brooklyn Greens, c/o mitchelcohen@mindspring.com.
